Ohio Fire Academy celebrated its second firefighter class of 2026, Firefighter Class 244, with 34 graduates recognized at a July 10 ceremony at the State Fire Marshal’s Reynoldsburg campus. The graduates represent communities across Ohio and Pennsylvania, including Caiden Nichols of Perrysburg. The 10-week, 468-hour program is the only state pathway offering eight additional certifications beyond Firefighter I and II.
Graduates gain professional, leadership, teamwork, safety, emergency vehicle operation, and apparatus pumping skills. State Fire Marshal Kevin Reardon praised their commitment. Christopher Kimball of Reynoldsburg and Aidan Deardorff of Lebanon expressed readiness to begin careers. The livestream was on Facebook; a full course catalog is available.
