About 120 EMS providers, EMT students and firefighters participated in a Montrose emergency response drill. Hosted by Mobile Medical Response and the Montrose Township Fire Department, the program focused on common emergencies and low-frequency high-risk calls.
A simulated high-risk call—a mass-casualty three-car pileup—was staged with actors and wrecked cars. The scene began with a lone ambulance; an EMT student assessed it and called for backup as more responders arrived and began patient extraction. Firefighters later assisted, with a rollover scenario for vehicle access.
