The 152nd Civil Engineering Squadron Fire Department conducted live-fire aircraft rescue and firefighting training at the Combat Readiness Training Center in Gulfport, Mississippi to maintain certifications and strengthen emergency response readiness.
The training provided hands-on experience with hose lines, nozzles, rescue vehicles, and large-frame aircraft in a controlled live-fire environment.
It is a key component of maintaining certifications, offering a chance to work around aircraft with specialized equipment and tactics not routinely available at home stations, and it uses propane to simulate aircraft fires.
The exercise also reinforces muscle memory and teamwork while giving crews experience with equipment and scenarios not routinely encountered at home, supporting readiness to protect personnel, aircraft, and resources.
