The Knox County Fire Training Academy's momentum has led to its program being offered, beginning this January, through the adult education program at Midcoast School of Technology.
The arrangement places firefighting training within MCST's adult education offerings.
MCST Adult Education Director Heidi Nolan says she believes this is the first school in Maine to offer firefighting training through an adult education program.
The program will begin in January, and Nolan says it is the first firefighting training offered through an adult education program by a Maine school.
