The Barnstable County Superior Courthouse is temporarily closed while renovation work is underway. Instructors from the Cape Cod Center for Public Safety Training’s Fire Programs Division wrapped up hands-on training with the West Barnstable Fire Department.
Using NFPA-compliant training programs and a specialized roof prop, firefighters practiced ventilating structures during working fires, building these critical skills in a controlled training environment before emergencies.
The Cape Cod Center for Public Safety Training, in coordination with the Cape Cod Fire Chiefs Association, provides training to 19 fire departments across Cape Cod. County-supported equipment, training props and mobile instruction enable staff to bring training to departments regionwide, supporting on-duty personnel and drills for Cape Cod’s call and volunteer firefighters.
